Discover the secrets of the castle slope
The secrets of the castle slope above and below ground can be rediscovered on Thursday (July 25, 2024). The meeting point is at 4.30 pm at the entrance to the air raid museum in Syrastrasse. During this guided tour, you will learn lots of interesting facts about the reconstruction of the official gardens and palace terraces as well as interesting facts about the city's development. You can also enjoy the view of the old town from the bastion (depending on weather conditions). The tour then continues to the five mountain cellars below the castle slope. Exhibits, documents and panels on the bombing of Plauen in 1944/45 allow visitors to relive this dramatic part of Plauen's history.
Important information about the tour
Due to safety regulations, the tour is for a maximum of 25 people and is not suitable for children under the age of six. Adults pay 7.50 euros and reduced participants 5.50 euros. The tour lasts one and a half hours. Prior registration at the Tourist Information Office is required (phone 03741-2911027, email: [email protected]).
