In order to beautify the cityscape of Plauen and strengthen cultural references to history, the city has set its sights on the e.o.plauen - Erich-Ohser-Haus gallery on Nobelstraße as part of the implementation of the federal funding program "Sustainable inner cities and centers" (ZIZ). Here, a tree slice is to be enlarged and planted. In addition, the façade has already been designed with father and son motifs in the style of e.o.plauen. This image has been a popular photo motif ever since. "To draw attention to the interior of the house from the outside as well, discreet figures from the e.o.plauen father and son books were sprayed onto the façade of the Erich-Ohser-Haus at Nobelstraße 7. The anthracite-colored weatherproof paint was applied partially to the plaster using stencils," explains Marie Lorenz from the city planning department. In close cooperation with the e.o.plauen gallery, creative design has made it possible to create an unmistakable recognition value for Nobelstrasse that inspires both locals and visitors.
Thanks to the ZIZ project "Favorite Places", the implementation of the idea can be funded 100 percent.
The Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction's "Sustainable inner cities and centers" programme is currently providing the city of Plauen with targeted funding until 2025 to revitalize the city centre and make it more attractive.

The Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction's "Sustainable inner cities and centers" programme is currently providing the city of Plauen with targeted funding until 2025 to revitalize the city centre and make it more attractive.
The city of Plauen has set itself the goal of designing the e.o.plauen - Erich-Ohser-Haus gallery on Nobelstrasse as part of the federal funding program "Sustainable inner cities and centers". Amongst other things, a tree slice is to be enlarged and planted, and the façade has already been designed with motifs of father and son in the style of e.o.plauen. This artistic design has established itself as a popular photo motif and helps to beautify the cityscape and strengthen cultural references to history. The collaboration with the gallery and the creative implementation have created an unmistakable recognition value for Nobelstrasse, which inspires both locals and visitors.
The ZIZ project "Lieblingsplätze" ("Favourite Places") makes it possible to fund the idea 100 percent, which is driving its implementation forward. Plauen will receive targeted funding from the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building until 2025 through the federal program "Sustainable inner cities and centers" to revitalize the city centre and make it more attractive. This offers a good opportunity to upgrade urban spaces and improve the quality of life for residents and visitors.
