The next Kultursommer after-work event is not for the faint-hearted. On August 15, Lars Buchmann will take guests on a journey through the dark history of Plauen. From 7 p.m., everything in the Malzhaus beer garden will revolve around "Torture, murder and pleasure". As with all Kultursommer events, admission is free. After work, there will be plenty to learn about murder and manslaughter in the past in a relaxed atmosphere. With old pictures, guests can immerse themselves in the fates of Plauen's citizens. You can also find out where the heart of the city of Plauen began to beat and which place symbolizes its development into a large city with almost 130,000 people.
The after-work events are possible as part of the cultural summer, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building's Federal Program for Sustainable Inner Cities and Centres (ZIZ). With the federal program, the city of Plauen is currently receiving targeted funding until 2025 to revitalize the city centre and make it more attractive.
All information on the cultural summer can be found at www.plauen.de/kultursommer and on the ZIZ project at www.plauen.de/ziz
