Renovation work on the town hall façade in the city of Plauen

Four defective panes of glass are currently being replaced on the sloping façade of the New Town Hall. The work should be completed by the end of the week. Two panes of glass on the third floor and two in the council chamber are affected.

"The cracks were most likely caused by minor edge damage during installation. The work will not incur any costs for the city of Plauen, as it is being carried out under warranty," says Jana Sachse from the city of Plauen's own building and facilities management company.

The annual cleaning of the glass façade takes place immediately after completion of the work.
