On 24 August 2024, the Topfmarkt in Plauen was transformed into a colorful children's world. The first Spitz'nKidz family festival, sponsored by the Sustainable Inner Cities and Centers programme, invited children to join in under the motto "Be loud! Be wild!
Be colorful! Be great and above all: have fun!" Young and old are invited to join in.
A straw castle replaced the usual plastic bouncy castle and offered the little explorers a natural playground. Petting animals, building nesting boxes and pony rides - the program was varied and offered something for everyone. Richards Kindermusikladen and Jonny Karacho provided a great atmosphere on the Malzhaus open-air stage. A special highlight was the joint dance by the 1st Plauen Dance Studio and Jonny Karacho in honor of their deceased trainer Ronny Bartsch.
"We are overwhelmed by the positive response," says Sophie Gürtler from the umbrella organization Stadtmarketing. "Despite the warm weather, numerous visitors found their way to us. The shining children's eyes showed that we have struck a chord with Spitz'nKidz."
The Spitz'nKidz program took place as part of the Spitzenfest special. After the Spitzenfest had to be canceled this year due to severe weather warnings, the organizers from the Spitzenfestverein and Dachverband Stadtmarketing provided a worthy replacement event. The people of Plauen enjoyed the live music on the stage of the Malzhaus. The star guest was the winner of the 3rd season of The Voice of Germany - Andreas Kümmert. He thrilled the audience with his music.
